Hi! I’m Misty. Thanks for meeting me here at the intersection of faith and ordinary, everyday moments, the place where normal life happens, but not always in ways we might expect.
If you and I were enjoying conversation in a cozy coffee shop, I’d likely order a tall Chai latte, or maybe even a steamy mug of hot, herbal tea.
And my table of choice?
It would be near a large window, allowing us to settle into the soft, woven fabric of comfortable armchairs, with bright sunlight streaming through on a beautiful, blue sky day.
Sounds great, right?
But since things don’t always work out exactly as planned, we might instead find ourselves tucked away, chatting in a small, crowded corner, carving out space for shared stories, quiet moments of laughter, and everyday life hacks, amid fast paced rhythms of the busy world around us.
And I believe that’s what much of life is about – Learning to appreciate beauty right where we are, finding ways to uncover the gift of what is, rather than longing for an elusive ideal, that may or may not ever come to pass.
It’s a delicate balance of holding close and letting go, of remembering there will always be unexpected twists and turns on our journey, but taking comfort in the calm assurance that God is in control, finding strength and power beyond our own, and discovering beautiful surprises all along the way.
If this resonates with you too, I hope you’ll continue to join me!
Together, we can walk in hope and simplicity, cutting through the clutter of full schedules, unmet expectations, and the endless demands of daily life.
We can navigate uncharted territory, finding joy in the ordinary, beauty in the mundane, and sparks of encouragement for moving forward, one small step at a time.
See you again soon? 🙂
A Little More About Me:
Florida is home, and has been from day one, but I’m usually up for a good adventure, and time away every now and then.
In a blast from the past, I once tried to become a flight attendant after high school, but my career experience has instead included over 20 years in customer service, finance, and communication.
I’m a (somewhat) transformed night owl, learning to embrace the quiet beauty of mornings, but may I say it might always be a work in progress?
Also, I love personal testimonies and life stories, and could read, listen to, or talk about them for hours, fascinated by the intricate details woven into God’s plan for His people.
